The Toyota 2UZ-FE engine is a 4.7-liter (4,663 cc) 90-degree V8 engine produced from 1998 to 2011, widely respected for its heavy-duty construction, smooth power delivery, and outstanding longevity. The TRD supercharged 2UZ-FE was a dealer-installed performance upgrade developed by Toyota Racing Development, primarily available for early 2000s models like the Toyota Tundra and Lexus GX 470. Using a roots-type supercharger, output typically increased to around 300+ horsepower, delivering significantly stronger acceleration and towing capability while retaining factory-level refinement. It remains a popular upgrade among enthusiasts seeking added performance without sacrificing the 2UZ-FE’s core reliability.
