The Nissan Altima engine is typically powered by a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated inline-4 gasoline engine that delivers approximately 188 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque in front-wheel-drive models, with slightly lower output in all-wheel-drive versions due to added drivetrain components. This engine is designed with dual overhead camshafts (DOHC), 16 valves, and Nissan’s Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control (CVTC) system, which helps optimize engine performance across different driving conditions while improving fuel efficiency and reducing emissions.

2.0L VC-Turbo 4-Cylinder
